Renato Ravanelli

Renato Ravanelli is CEO of F2i Sgr. With a robust technical and financial knowledge of the infrastructure sector, coupled with extensive management expertise, he has led the F2i team and overseen all investments since 2014. 
Throughout his career, he has managed M&A operations with a total value of € 20 billion euro. A respected expert in the infrastructure sector and the Italian utilities market, he has an extensive network of institutional and business relations. 
Prior to leading F2i, Renato held for many years senior management positions in the energy and utilities sector, including in listed companies: he was Managing Director and member of the Executive Board of the A2A Group, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Member of the Board of Directors of the Edison Group, and Strategy Director and Chief Financial Officer at AEM where he also oversaw the listing process on the Italian Stock Exchange. He began his career as macro-economist and industrial analyst in the Economic Research departments of leading Italian financial institutions after graduating with honors in Economics from the Cattolica University in Milan. 
Since 2010 he has been an independent member of the Investment Committee of Inframed, the largest European infrastructure fund dedicated to the development of strategic infrastructures in the regions of North Africa, the Middle East and Turkey.
