Holding company listed on the Milan stock exchange. It started its activities in 2003 as an investment company focused on turn-around situations (by investing in companies in financial difficulties).
In 2004 it entered the renewable energy sector and from 2006 onwards it has been developing specific managerial capabilities in this sector.
Its core business is electricity produced from renewable sources: wind, solar power and biomass combustion.
Alerion is one of the main independent renewable energy players listed on the Borsa Italiana.
F2i sold its shares in December 2017, when the company held a gross capacity of 233 MW.
