F2i Sgr, together with Ardian and APG Asset Management through Finavias S.a.r.l., grant exclusivity to Italgas on an offer for 100% of 2i Rete Gas

Milan, 13 May 2024 – On February 28, 2024, the Board of Directors of 2i Rete Gas SpA, a leading gas distribution company, approved, as part of the possible strategic alternatives for value maximization, a preliminary process aimed at the listing of the Company on Euronext Milan (formerly Mercato Telematico Azionario di Borsa Italiana). 

On May 12, 2024, the shareholders of 2i Rete Gas - F2i Sgr (owning 63.9%) and, through the vehicle Finavias S.a.r.l. (36.1%), Ardian and APG Asset Management - received a non-binding offer from Italgas SpA to acquire 100% of 2i Rete Gas. Without interrupting preparations for the listing, F2i Sgr and Finavias have granted Italgas a period of exclusivity in order to complete a due diligence preparatory to a possible binding purchase offer.
