F2i appoints Mauro Miglio and Corrado Santini as Co-Chief Investment Officers of the Equity Investment Team

Milan, 14 November 2024 - The Board of Directors of F2i SGR, on the recommendation of CEO Renato Ravanelli, has today appointed Mauro Miglio and Corrado Santini as Co-Chief Investment Officers for the Equity Investment Team.

Mauro Miglio has been a Senior Partner in F2i’s Equity Investment Team since 2017. Prior to this, he has gained three decades of management experience in large industrial, energy and infrastructure groups such as Fiat, Montedison, Edison and A2A. Throughout his career, he has overseen M&A transactions, mainly in the infrastructure, energy, automotive and telecommunications sectors. He has also served on the boards of several industrial companies, including Edison, Edipower, Metroweb, TowerTel, E2i (as CEO) and IRIDEOS. He currently sits on the boards of Fibercop and EI Towers.

Corrado Santini joined F2i in 2007 and is a Senior Partner in the Investment Team. Prior to joining F2i, he headed BBVA’s Italian project finance business. During his career, he has led M&A transactions and structured over 70 project finance transactions, mainly in sectors such as conventional and renewable power generation, waste management, water services, civil works and healthcare infrastructure. He is currently Chairman of EF Solare Italia and serves on the boards of Sorgenia, F2i Holding Portuale, ReLife and Iren Acqua.

Carlo Michelini, CIO Equity since 2009, has decided to leave F2i to pursue new professional challenges. The entire Board and F2i colleagues would like to thank him for his significant contribution to the growth of the company and wish him every success in his future endeavours.
F2i has also appointed two new Senior Partners for the Equity Team, Fabio Albano and Laura Pascotto, as well as a new Partner, Paolo Bugini.

Fabio Albano has been a Partner in the Equity Investment Team since 2009. Prior to joining F2i, he was a Partner at Clessidra Infrastrutture. He has also worked as Corporate Development Manager at Autostrade Group and as Senior Manager in the Corporate Development Division of Accenture. He currently sits on the boards of EI Towers, a ReLife Group company, and Infracis.

Laura Pascotto has been a Partner of the Equity Investment Team since 2007. Prior to joining F2i, Laura worked for Lehman Brothers in investment banking and then with the Capitalia Group (now Unicredit) as Managing Director. She currently sits on the boards of Gesac, Sagat, Geasar, Sogeaal, Aeroporto Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Aeroporto di Bologna, Sacbo, and HISI.

Paolo Bugini, who works alongside Cecilia Todarello, joined F2i in 2014. Prior to joining F2i, he worked at Liberty Global, one of the largest investors in the telecoms and media sectors in Europe, and in the Investment Banking Division of the Royal Bank of Scotland in London. He is currently a board member of EF Solare Italia and a ReLife Group company.

With these appointments, F2i’s Equity team is poised to take the next important steps in the Company development, starting with the fundraising for its seventh equity fund, which will benefit from an already identified pipeline of investments, as well the continued efforts to enhance the industrial strength of its portfolio assets.
